National Integrated Campaign

 

At a time when 14 shops close everyday on the British High Streets, Visa wanted to give something back at Christmas.

In an effort to help save the high street, we wanted to create a platform where independent retailers could take the spotlight. Airing on National TV, we created an ad featuring genuine retailers singing ‘All I want for Christmas is you’, inviting the nation to visit the high street this Christmas.

Then every High Street in the UK got the chance to be part of the story through uniquely made local out of home ads featuring local stores and an assortment of unique geo located social content.

One challenge we faced was to represent the song from the TV ad in silent and static formats. A visual typographic needed to deliver the message whilst carrying the Christmas sentiment of the campaign. It also needed to work across personalised adverts of over 100 independent retailers nationwide on billboards in prime local locations.

After various explorations we found a balanced solution that worked. This was briefed to our crew of photographers who were working up and down the country. They were then able to shoot to a templated design where we could bring all elements together.
